All submissions to the Journal of Computation and Artificial Intelligence in Mechanics and Biomechanics (JCAIMB) must be made online via the Journal's Editorial Management System (JEMS). This dedicated online system helps authors to keep track of their manuscript from submission through publication. Before uploading a manuscript, first-time users should register in JEMS and create a user ID and password. After registration, the author will receive an automatic email within 12 hrs of registration confirming their registration in the system. The account will then be active and the user can upload manuscript. JEMS will guide the user through the process of submitting and uploading their manuscript. The manuscript should be submitted as a Microsoft Word document (.doc or .docx) and written in the English Language. Manuscripts not conforming to the guidelines mentioned in the Manuscript Preparation section will not be accepted..
The Journal's Editorial Board is responsible for conducting the peer review process. Submitted manuscripts are assessed preliminarily by an expert editorial member selected by the Editor-in-Chief before the external review. If the manuscript is considered unsuitable at this preliminary review stage, it may be rejected without further review. If the manuscript is accepted, it will be sent for evaluation by external reviewers. After the external review process, the Editor-in-Chief will make one of the following decisions:
JCAIMB is committed to the timely assessment of manuscripts. The peer-review process takes approximately 8-10 weeks for the external review.
When submitting a manuscript to JCAIMB, the author may suggest external reviewers for his manuscript. When recommending an external reviewer, keep in mind the following:
The Journal of Computation and Artificial Intelligence in Mechanics and Biomechanics (JCAIMB) considers plagiarism, breaches of best practices, and copyright infringement issues unethical. We take every possible measure to protect the reputation of the journal against any type of malpractice. Before submitting any manuscript to JCAIMB, the author must check for any redundancy. If any of the above issues are found in a submitted manuscript, JCAIMB reserves the right to take action. These actions may include, but is not limited to retracting the manuscript from the journal, notifying the author’s institution, and notifying relevant academic societies.
Manuscripts may be submitted using the JCAIMB template. The author may also submit the manuscript as a Microsoft Word document with double-spaced text with font size of 10 pt. All manuscripts must use SI (metric) units in the text, figures and tables. Manuscripts should include the following information:
The manuscript file size should not exceed 6 MB. If the text (plus figures and tables) exceeds 6 MB, the figures may be submitted separately. The manuscript should be submitted as a Microsoft Word document (.doc or .docs).

All mathematical equations should be clearly typed using a lucid explanation. Superscripts and subscripts should be typed clearly above or below the baseline. Equation numbers should be written in Arabic numerals as (1), (2), etc., on the right-hand margin. It should be cited in the text as Eq. (1), or Eqs. (1)-(5).
All illustrations should be of high quality and clear enough to meet the publishing requirement. Figures with a dpi of 500 or greater are preferred. The figures should be cited in the text such as Fig. 1, or Figs. 1-3.
Tables should be numbered consecutively with Arabic numerals. Borders are not required for the table; refer to the SINM template for creating the table. All tables should be cited in the text as Table 1, Tables 1-3.
The Journal of Computation and Artificial Intelligence in Mechanics and Biomechanics (JCAIMB) is an Open Access Journal published by Rational Publication. The open access articles are sponsored by publisher for 6 pages. Beyond 6th page 45 USD is charged per page.
Note: There are no submission charges.
Extra Page Charges
Manuscripts of more than 6 pages will be charged 45 USD for each extra page. To easily keep track of the number of pages of the submission, authors can use the JCAIMB template.
Upon acceptance of any article in the JCAIMB, the author will receive an acceptance notification email with a copyright form attached. The author is required to get the copyright form signed by all co-authors, and send the scanned copy back to the Journal for further processing. Upon successful completion of this process, a proof will be made available to the author for a final check prior to publication. The author can then proofread the manuscript and check for the typesetting, conversion errors and the accuracy of the tables, text, and figures. Changes in the content of the submission after acceptance are not allowed without the Editor’s approval.
